LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. – September 30, 2025 – The Lincoln University women's soccer team returned home for its 2025 opener on Tuesday, falling 3-0 to Goldey-Beacom in CACC play.
Goalkeeper Nevaeh Washington (Philadelphia, PA) turned in another standout performance, recording 13 saves, including nine in the second half, to keep the Lions within reach against an active Lightning attack.
Lincoln's best scoring chance came in the 89th minute, when Sahida Dumbuya (Freetown, Sierra Leone) sent in a shot that carried just wide. The Lions also saw steady defensive efforts from Ricyonna Walker (Kingston, Jamaica), Jenesis Kitchen (Baltimore, MD), and Briana Poullard (Elkton, MD), who worked to slow Goldey-Beacom's attack throughout the match.
The Lions (0-5-1, 0-3-0 CACC) continue conference play this weekend with a road trip to Wilmington University (Del.) on Saturday, October 4. Kickoff is set for 12 p.m. in Wilmington, Del.
