Orangeburg, NY- September 20, 2024 - The Lincoln University (PA) women's volleyball team lost to Dominican University of New York in four sets, the team ended up losing with set scores of: 21-25,25-23,22-25,19-25.

The Lions went up against a strong team in Dominican University (NY), however the Lions won the second set after dropping the first one. The game was close the entire match as Lincoln never let up during each set. Unfortunately, the Lions could not hold off the aggressive play from the Chargers in the end.

The team played well behind a strong offensive presence tonight spearheaded by
Charly Manley (Upper Marlboro, MD/Frederick Douglass HS) with nine kills which marks a career high for the Sophomore,
Elise Carter () (8) and
Laila Newborn (Ardmore, Pa./Lower Merion) (6) were not too far behind as they played extremely well on offense.

On defense Carter led the team in blocks with nine, which is a new season high for her while
Janiece Lumpkin (Middletown, DE/Middletown HS) had a career high in digs with 16.

The Lincoln University (PA) women's volleyball team will be at home for their next game as they will match up with Lock Haven University starting at 4 p.m. on Saturday.
