Lions Move To 2-0

Broadnax one goal away from hat trick

Lincoln University, PA- September 11, 2024 - The Lincoln University (PA) women's soccer team moves to 2-0 for the first time in program history after a win at home vs Salem University.
 
"Starting the season 2-0 for the first time in our program's history is an incredible achievement. This success not only highlights their commitment but also sets a new benchmark for our program. And believe me, this is just the beginning of what we can accomplish together." Said Head Coach Sal Minor.
 
The Lions started out hot to open the game today as Keilani Broadnax () was able to score for Lincoln in the game's first 10 minutes assisted by Briana Poullard ().
 
Following the goal the Lions were aggressive on the defensive side of things as they played well going into the second half. In this half Broadnax once again scored for the Lions assisted by Grace Quiah (Philadelphia, Pa./John Bartram). Broadnax was one goal shy of a hat trick (3 goals) during the game as she added onto her season total of three goals.
 
Navaeh Washington played a crucial role tonight as well as she collected two saves while facing three shots.
 
The Lincoln University (PA.) women's soccer team will look to continue this streak as they go to Hampton, VA this Friday for a match up against Hampton University starting at 12 p.m.
