LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, PA (January 31, 2024)- The Lincoln University Lions men's basketball team took down the Blues of Bluefield State University on Wednesday evening, with a final score of 83-60.

Series: Lincoln now control the series, 2-1, against the Bluefield State Blues.
FIRST HALF
- The Lions did not waste any time to take control of the contest.
- Finding space to capitalize off of the Blues mistakes, LU secured 15 points off of turnovers.
- Spreading the scoring wealth, Lincoln collected 22 bench points compared to Bluefield State's 8 bench points.
- The Lions progression through the half allow the team to display their offensive and defensive skills.
- Entering the locker room, the LU Lions held strong to a 45-21 lead.
SECOND HALF
- The second half undoubtedly belonged to LU, as they held over a 20-point lead.
- At the end of regulation, the Lions proved to be a tough opponent after taking down the Bluefield State Blues, 83-60.
LION LEADERS
- Ethan Garita (Trenton, N.J./Princeton Day School) controlled the contest by collecting 18 points.
- In addition to Aidan Anderson (Mount Laurel, N.J./Lenape) securing 11 points, Peter Sorber (Trenton, N.J./Trenton Catholic) clinched a double-double with 14 points and 13 rebounds.
UP NEXT
The Lions will host the Panthers of Virginia Union University on Saturday, February 3. Tip-off is set for 4 p.m. in Manuel Rivero Gymnasium.
