LINCOLN, PA (September 11, 2023)- The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association in conjunction with the CIAA College Sports Communicators Association and the CIAA Football Coaches Association, announce the Week 2 CIAA Player of the Week Honors. The Lincoln University Lions secured the Quarterback and Receiver of the Week honors after taking down Post University on September 9.
Sophomore
Isaiah Freeman (Chester, Pa./STEM Academy High School) earned the Quarterback of the Week honor for his performance in the Lions road victory this past weekend. Freeman was 13-for-21 on pass completions for 250 yards and 3 touchdowns for the 48-32 win. The 2022 CIAA Offensive Rookie of the Year is proving to make an impact every time he steps on the field.
Earning his second consecutive Receiver of the Week honor is sophomore Wide Receiver
Malachi Langley (Chester, Pa./Chester High School). After covering 135 yards, on 5 receptions for 2 touchdowns against Clarion University on August 31, Langley returned to the field to tally 135 yards on five receptions and scored two touchdowns in the win over Post.

The Lions will travel down the road to face the Broncos of Fayetteville State University on September 16. Kick-off is set for 6pm at in Fayetteville, NC.
