FOOTBALL RELEASES SCHEDULE FOR 2023 SEASON

Tickets go on sale July 1, 2023

The Lincoln University athletic department has released the 2023 Lions football schedule. Lincoln's schedule will boast a five game home slate and five road contests.

Lincoln will again play two non-conference games both against Division II opponents in Clarion, (PA) and Post University to open the season.

The Lions open the season with three of its first five games being home in the newly-renovated Lincoln Athletic Stadium. LU opens the season on August 31st vs. Clarion (PA) with at nightcap at 7pm. before traveling to Post University on September 9.

The Lions then travel to Fayetteville State on September 16th, before returning home for back-to-back home games. A pair of CIAA South Institutions travel to Lincoln Athletic Stadium, when the Lions host Johnson C. Smith (September 23) and Winston-Salem State (Sept. 30).

The Lions will get their first taste of new CIAA member, Bluefield State, as they travel to Bluefield, West Virginia on Oct. 7th to begin the Northern Division slate. The familiar foe of Elizabeth City State University will once again be the Homecoming opponent on Oct. 14th.

Back-to-back October away games with Virginia Union (October 21) and Virginia State (October 28) conclude the away portion of the season before Lincoln comes home to play arch-rival Bowie State for the regular-season finale on November 4.

Tickets for all home games will go on sale on July 1, 2023 and all games will be live streamed on the CIAA Network. Game times for the home games are as follows: Clarion (7pm), Johnson C. Smith (7pm), Winston Salem State (1pm), Elizabeth City State (HC-1pm), Bowie State (1pm).
