Anthony Burgos (Bronx, N.Y./Mott Haven) tried to pick up the offensive slack by reaching four times in five plate appearances, picking up five total bases on his two hits (double and triple) while walking and being hit by a bean ball, scoring twice and driving in one.

Wesley Hogan (Washington, D.C./The Maret School) walked a pair of times, scored the same amount, and hit a RBI-single that gave the Lions their first run.

Darrion Williams (East Hartford, Conn./East Hartford) was the last batter to truly stand out, bringing in two baserunners despite not notching a base knock (error and bases loaded wall), stealing one and scoring once on two free passes.
