Dolphins Cage Lions In Series Opening Doubleheader

LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. – The Lincoln University of Pennsylvania baseball program trailed in all 15 innings following a scoreless first in the opener, suffering a 7-0 game one defeat and a 2-1 setback in seven during game two.

  • David Esteves (Philadelphia, Penn./Olney Charter) received a tough luck loss in the nightcap, recording a complete game five-hitter while surrendering just two runs, two walks, and five hits on top of six strikeouts, shutting out the Dolphins after a shaky opening frame.
 
  • Nick Spurlock (Sugar Land, Texas/Kempner) and Conner Jones (Chesapeake, Va./Grassfield) spun 3.1 scoreless innings in the opener, allowing a single hit apiece with Jones posting both whiffs.
 
  • Josiah Bowles (Plant City, Fla./Carlos Beltran Baseball Academy) and Miguel Agramonte (Fallston, Md./Fallston) were the lone two Lions to reach safely three times as Bowles walked twice and doubled before the former had both a single and a triple plus a free pass.
 
  • Alex Jones (Bear, Del./Appoquinimink) drove in the club's singular run with an RBI single that knocked home Josh Shepherd (Bowie, Md./Bowie) in the bottom of the fifth during game number two.
 
  • Jalen Greenidge (Richmond, Va./Monacan) joined Agramonte in smacking numerous hits, doing so in the back half of the doubleheader with Jalen's twin (Jaden) as well as DeAndre Bowens (Rock Hill, N.Y./Monticello) also slapped two-baggers.
