PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Lincoln University of Pennsylvania baseball program was shut out for the first time since April 1 of last season, notching just five hits during a 9-0 setback against the Jefferson Rams, its first contest in ten days.

• Freshman Pedro Santos (Trenton, N.J./Trenton Catholic) had more strikeouts in his four innings of work versus TJU than he had in the 7.1 frames prior, whiffing a season-high four Rams with just a single run allowed.

 

• Jalen Greenidge (Richmond, Va./Monacan) provided two-fifths of the hit production for LU, going 2-for-4 with one of the club's two doubles.

 

• Alex Jones (Bear, Del./Appoquinimink) recorded the other two-bagger for his lone base knock to go along with a walk and Damaal Sands (Nassau, Bahamas/Monteverde Academy) joined them in reaching safely twice courtesy of a single plus a free pass.

 

• Sheldon Johnson (Pittsburgh, Penn./Woodland Hills) poked a single, Darrion Williams (East Hartford, Conn./East Hartford) and Josh Sheperd both coaxed ball fours, Solomon Devard (Bear, Del./MOT Charter) reached on a hit-by-pitch, and Jefry Azcona (Trenton, N.J./Trenton Central) drew a base on balls before swiping second in a down day for the sticks.

• The Lions had put at least one run on the scoreboard in each of its last 24 ballgames prior to Tuesday afternoon and it marks only the third time being blanked by Jefferson over the past 19 matchups.
