LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. – The Lincoln University of Pennsylvania baseball program squandered a career day from game one starter Gabriel Sanchez (Anthony, N.M./Gadsden) during a 5-3 setback but capitalized on a go-ahead home run by Jaden Greenidge (Richmond, Va./Monacan) in the sixth to split the twin bill with D'Youville, 4-3 in seven.

Lincoln (PA) Top Performers:

• One of the Greenidge twins, Jaden, must've ate his Wheatiea or did a successful weightlifting regimen this morning, blasting a pair of solo missile shots over the left field wall in each game. He also came on to pitch 1.1 scoreless frames, striking out two Saints. 

• The other twin, Jalen, led LU with three hits over seven at-bats (.429) plus a run scored.

• Despite wearing the loss, Gabriel Sanchez (Anthony, N.M./Gadsden) boasted downright filthy stuff on the bump, going for career-highs in both innings pitched (7.0) and strikeouts (11) while ceding just two runs.

• Darrion Williams (East Hartford, Conn./East Hartford) continued the strong display of pitching prowess in the nightcap, picking up his first career win and complete game with a trio of punchouts and an equal amount of runs allowed.

• Miguel Agramonte (Fallston, Md./Fallston) also went 3-of-7 (.429), driving a two-RBI bomb to close the gap in game one, scored twice, and stole the club's lone base.

Notes:

• The team picked up its eighth win of the 2023 campaign on Friday, joining the softball program in setting the new single season program wins record of the Division II era (since 2008) with just over a month still left to go on both schedules.

• The Lions and Saints had met six times as East Coast Conference opponents before this weekend, splitting their wins as both home squads swept the visitors.
