Softball Ties Historic Milestone In Home Opening Doubleheader Sweep

LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. – The Lincoln University of Pennsylvania softball program has now tied the team record for the most single season wins in the school's NCAA Division II era, winning its seventh and eighth games of the season as they swept the Big Blues of Bluefield State, 10-7 in game one and a walk-off 5-4 victory in game two.

The triumph in the nightcap gave Coach Waddell win number eight in her debut campaign at the helm, matching the 2013 squad's mark in just the club's 17th contest of the year which it took Head Coach Amber Sneed's unit 27 tries to accomplish.

Game one was all about her pitching prowess, picking up her first win in the circle with 5.2 innings of four earned runs allowed to go along with five strikeouts.
