LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. – The Lincoln University of Pennsylvania baseball program cut into the large deficit with a four-run fourth, but a nightmarish day in the field where nine errors allowed an equal amount of unearned runs to score turned a respectable showing into a rout during its 18-4 loss on Thursday afternoon.

- Josh Shepherd (Bowie, Md./Bowie) gave the offense a shot in the arm when he sent a low-middle fastball hurtling over the chain link fence for a two-RBI blast, his first career home run in his 38th game at Lincoln.

- Out of the seven student-athletes who had base hits, only Jaden Greenidge (Richmond, Va./Monacan) collected multiple hits with a pair of singles as well as picking up an RBI, a walk, and scoring a run. He also closed out the contest with a full frame's worth of scoreless pitching where he struck out a trio of Bears.

- Drew Darby (Union, N.J./Union) crushed a ball into the right-center field gap and raced around the pillows for an RBI-triple while Wesley Hogan (Washington, D.C./The Maret School) built off his strong Wednesday performance with a two-bagger.

- Alex Jones (Bear, Del./Appoquinimink) reached base safely thrice, snagging a double and drawing two walks.

- Conner Jones (Chesapeake, Va./Grassfield) got five outs through the middle section of the ballgame, one via strikeout.
