ETTRICK, Va. - The Lincoln University of Pennsylvania men's basketball program almost toppled Virginia State for the second straight week, but a bucket from behind the arc by VSU's Francis Fitzgerald with under five seconds left spoiled the upset bid, 61-58.

  • Reggie Hudson (Bronx, N.Y./St. Raymond's) went 6-of-12 (50%) with a team-high seven rebounds, a contest-best three steals plus a trio of assists.

 
  • Korey Williams (Brooklyn, N.Y./LaSalle Academy) has been the model of consistency all season long, dropping a club-most 17 points on the Trojans for his sixth straight game in double-digits and 20th out of 24 games played this year.

 
  • Freddie Young, Jr. (Ewing, N.J./Trenton Catholic) produced a game/season- high of six assists for the second matchup in-a-row.

 
  • Janaie Coates-Sinues (Newark, N.J./University) set personal-beats of three free throws converted and two blocks, Peter Sorber (Trenton, N.J./Trenton Catholic) joined him with a tied for contest-most pair of seats, and Khimani Hopkinson (Lauderhill, Fla./Dillard) launched his second career rejection into the stands.

  • Lincoln won the turnover battle (+1) and held the lead for just under half the contest (19 minutes), but could not get the job done in the end.
