WEST CHESTER, PA (December 5, 2023)- The Lincoln University women's basketball team took a 74-56 loss to the Golden Rams of West Chester University on Tuesday evening. The loss moves the Lions to a 3-3 record on the season.

FIRST HALF
- From the opening tip, West Chester played into their home court advantage.
- Isis Triplett (Orlando, Fl./West Oaks Academy) got the Lions on the board with a layup, breaking the Goldens Rams scoring run.
- Despite being plagued with miss shots and turnovers, LU continued to work on closing the scoring gap.
- At the end of the 1st quarter, the Lions trailed, 19-10.
- The 2nd quarter mimicked the 1st as LU fought to stay in the game.
- After battling in the first half, the Lions trailed, 44-20.
SECOND HALF
- LU began to find a groove in the 3rd quarter as they answered back to several of the Golden Rams baskets.
- Although there was a significant deficit, the Lions stayed focused in showcasing their willpower.
- Closing the scoring gap in the 4th quarter, Lincoln fought until the final horn.
- After 4 quarters, the Lions took a 74-56 loss to the West Chester Golden Rams.

- Leading the Lions with 11 points was D'Ayzha Atkinson (Philadelphia, Pa./Neumann-Goretti).
- Maya Madison Walker (Brooklyn, N.Y./Bishop Loughlin) secured 10 rebounds for the LU, while Ciani Montgomery (Philadelphia, Pa./West Catholic Prep) contributed 4 assists.
