LAKELAND, FL (November 18, 2023)- The Lincoln University Lions men's basketball team fell to the Florida Southern College Moccasins (Mocs), 85-73, in a road matchup to begin their series.

FIRST HALF
- From the opening tip-off, both teams showcased their offensive skills, exchanging baskets in hopes of controlling the game.
- The Lions 3-point action gave them an edge over the FSC Mocs as LU took a 17-13.
- FSC found space to close the scoring gap and take a short lead.
- The teams toggled back and forth for dominance in the final minutes of the half.
- Several missed shots by the Lions put them behind, 43-38, at halftime.
SECOND HALF
- Lincoln continued to fight hard to regain control of the court.
- Despite the Lions sinking critical shots, igniting a brief rally, the Mocs remained composed, responding with timely baskets.
- LU fought until the last second, but Florida Southern secured an 85-73 victory.
LION LEADERS
- Aidan Anderson (Mount Laurel, N.J./Lenape) led the Lions in scoring and boards with 13 points and 7 rebounds.
- Also scoring in double digits were Bakir Cleveland (Newark, N.J./University) (11 points), Reggie Hudson (Bronx, N.Y./St. Raymond's) (10 points) and Peter Sorber (Trenton, N.J./Trenton Catholic) (10 points).
- Reggie Hudson (Bronx, N.Y./St. Raymond's) controlled Lincoln's assists, securing 4, in addition to 2 steals.
UP NEXT
The Lions will host their first home game of the season on Wednesday, November 22. LU will be taking on the Vulcans of California University of PA at 1pm in Manuel Rivero Hall.
