HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Lions struggled to find a rhythm in the opening set, slowly finding a place on the board due to ECSU errors.
- Despite getting into a groove and going on a 4-0 run, the Vikings remained in control, taking set 1, 25-15.
- Set 2 gave the Lions a glimpse of hope as they tied the score 7 times, fighting for game control.
- Although LU took a short lead, several errors cost them the set, 25-19.
- Set 3 ruled favor the Vikings, with a score of 25-5, ultimately giving them the 3-0 overall win.
LION LEADERS
- Erica Taylor (Romulus, MI/Romulus Summit Academy) led the charge for the Lions with 4 kills against the Lady Vikings.
- Stepping in for the Lions with 7 assists was Jaida Lumpkin (Middletown, Del./Middletown).
- Tallying 11 digs for LU was Mariah Webster (Detroit, Mich./Cass Tech/), who was evenly match in digs against ECSU.
