RICHMOND, Va. – The Lincoln University of Pennsylvania women's basketball program received late game heroics from redshirt sophomore
Maya Madison Walker (Brooklyn, N.Y./Bishop Loughlin), hitting the game-winning layup with under five seconds to go amid a one-point deficit to keep the winning streak intact with a 52-51 triumph over VUU.

- Walker who was limited in action on the floor due to four fouls rewarded Head Coach Janice Washington's faith in her with the go-ahead bucket.
- Kania Pollock (Queens, N.Y./The Mary Louis Academy) came off the bench to lead all scorers via 15 points and led the Lions in rebounds as well, pulling down seven boards.
- Jaleesa Lanier (Easton, Pa./Bethlehem Catholic) set a new personal benchmark for field goals made with a career-high six, accounting for two of the game's three triples.
- D'Ayzha Atkinson (Philadelphia, Pa./Neumann-Goretti) snatched her third multi-steal (2) outing of her debut season, tying with reigning CIAA Defensive Player of the Week Anyssa Fields (Long Branch, N.J./Long Branch) for the contest's most.
- LU of PA was only able to secure a trio of assists on the stat sheet as Ciani Montgomery (Philadelphia, Pa./West Catholic Prep), Isis Triplett (Orlando, Fl./West Oaks Academy), and Taylor Brown (Waldorf, Md./Westlake) each dished out one.
Notes:
- Both squads endured 11 lead changes Wednesday evening including five alone in the fourth quarter.
- The home squad was limited to just one made three-pointer on 13 tries for a dismal percentage of just 7.7%, the best perimeter defensive showing of the year for the Lions.
- On top of shutting down the outside game, LU held onto the ball with a campaign-low two steals taken away and allowed its third-fewest point total of the season at 51.
- The Orange and Blue won despite getting hammered in the rebounding margin (43-29, -14), block battle (7-0), and assist game (14-3).
