Box Score ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. – The Lincoln University volleyball team fell to Elizabeth City State in four sets (25-7, 25-15, 24-26, 25-12) Tuesday in Central Intercollegiate Athletic Conference action.
HOW IT HAPPENED
	- Lincoln dropped the first two sets, scoring 22 points in the process, but rebounded with a gutty 26-point effort to claim the third set. The Lions managed 12 points in the fourth set.
- In the thrilling third set, the Lions scored the first four points. Lincoln maintained the lead until a five-point run by the Vikings pushed them to the 19-17 lead.
- The third set was knotted at 22, 23, and 24, before Lincoln scored the final two points to seal the victory.
- Sophomore Haley Loper (Middletown, Del./St. Georges Technical) finished with seven kills on 32 attempts, while junior Erica Tayler finished with five kills on 14 attempts.
- Sophomore Jaida Lumpkin (Middletown, Del./Middletown) led the team with nine assists and three service aces to go along with seven digs. Sophomore Mariah Webster (Detroit, Mich./Cass Tech/) contributed a team-high eight digs.
- Freshman Laila Newborn (Ardmore, Pa./Lower Merion) had one solo block and two block assists.
