The Lincoln University women's soccer team kicked off their 2019 season on Sunday with a 9-0 home loss to Saint Michael's College
 
St. Michael's improved to 2-0 with the win. The Lions, who suited just 13 players due to injuries fell to 0-1
 
The Purple Knights scored four times in the first half and added five more in the second. Greta Ricigliano, Julia Rosano and Kara Bassett had two goals apiece.

Lions Goalkeeper Lena Rodriguez (Lockport, Ill./Joliet Catholic Academy) had 11 saves, extending her Lincoln career record for saves to 390. 

The Lions return to action on Wednesday September 11, 2019 when they host Chestnut Hill College. Kickoff is at 6 p.m. in Lions Stadium.
