The Lincoln University women's volleyball team tips off their 2019 slate Sept. 5 with a road contest at Notre Dame of Maryland University in Baltimore.  Tipoff is at 7 p.m.
Notre Dame leads the all-time series 2-0, recording a win at Manuel Rivero Hall last season and beating the Lions in Baltimore in 2017.

Lincoln returns seven players from last year's squad, led by senior Tierra Russaw (Westland, Mich./Summit Academy).  Russaw notched 72 kills and 16 aces in 2018.  She also recorded 56 assists and was second on the team with 127 digs.  Junior Tymera Crudup (Barnegat, N.J./Barnegat) returns for her third season as the team's libero.  Crudup led the team in digs in 2018 with 262.  Russaw and Crudup became the eighth and ninth players in program history to record 500 career digs, finishing the season ranked seventh (Russaw, 531) and eighth (Crudup, 520) respectively on the Lions' all-time list. Sophomore Kaiya Lewis (Woodhaven, N.Y./Queens Preparatory Academy) led the team with 53 total blocks, including a school record 32 block assists.  Lewis was second on the team with 80 kills.
Lincoln will then travel to face Frostburg State University on Friday at 6:00 p.m.
