The Lincoln University men's basketball team will open their season on the road as they make the short drive to West Chester University to compete in the Messikomer Tip-off Tournament Friday November 8, 2019 and Saturday November 9.

The Lions will face Kutztown University on Friday with a 5:30 p.m. tipoff and will play host West Chester University Saturday night at 7:30 p.m.

Five players return for the Lions led by all-CIAA performer, junior Deaquan Williams (Camden, N.J./Camden).  Williams was one of the top forwards in the league last season, grabbing 9.4 rebounds per game while scoring at a 13.3-point clip.  His 255 rebounds set a school Division II era single season mark.

Zahrion Blue (Princeton, N.J./Princeton) is Lincoln's top returning playmaker with 60 assists to go along with his 9.6 points per game average while Jordan Camper (Chester, Pa./Chester) led the team in blocks with 29 while averaging 7.4 points and 4.8 rebounds per game.   Lions' Head coach Doug Overton also hopes to have his other two returnees return to the court in January.

The Lions will field a young team with nine newcomers, six of which are true freshman.  Lincoln will also show some height this season as six of the nine newcomers/transfers are 6'6" or taller.
