The Lincoln University women's volleyball team lost 3-0 on Sunday to Elizabeth City State University at Manuel Rivero Hall.
 
ECSU took the first two sets 25-20 and 25-19 before closing out the match with a 25-9 win in the third set.   The loss drops the Lions' record to 1-9 overall and 1-7 in Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) matches.  The Vikings earn their first win of the season and improve to 1-13 overall and 1-8 in league play.
 
Janae Stackhouse (Baltimore, Md./Baltimore PolyTech) and Kaiya Lewis (Woodhaven, N.Y./Queens Preparatory Academy) led the Lions with five kills apiece. Amanda Lee (Brooklyn, N.Y./Park Slope Collegiate) and Tierra Russaw (Westland , Mich./Summit Academy) added four apiece with Russaw also leading the team with 16 assists.  Tymera Crudup (Barnegat, N.J./Barnegat) led the team with seven digs.
 
Jahera Dangerfield led the Vikings with 12 kills while D'Aysa Wilson added seven.  Kaylee Williams had five aces and Asia Jones led the team with 21 assists. Alexis Blackwell had eight digs.
 
The women's volleyball team is back in action on Monday when they host Virginia State University at Manuel Rivero Hall.  Tipoff is at 6 p.m.
