Conference play resumes for the Lincoln University women's volleyball team this weekend as they travel to Richmond, Virginia to take part in the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) North Division Roundup #2 Saturday and Sunday.
 
The roundup will be held off-campus at Big Ben's Home Court in Richmond, Virginia – a facility capable of hosting two courts of volleyball in one location.  Virginia Union University will be the host school for the round-up.
 
The Lions are seeking their first win of the season, going 0-5 and 0-3 in conference play through the first three weeks.
 
Lincoln will face three CIAA South division foes beginning on Saturday, Shaw University, Saint Augustine's University and Claflin University. A fourth south division team, Fayetteville State university was unable to travel to the event due to the after effects of Hurricane Florence. 

The Lions lost twice to Shaw last season, 3-0 in the regular season and a 3-0 loss in the quarterfinals of the CIAA Tournament.  St. Augustine's also beat the Lions 3-0 in the regular season.  The Lions will face the CIAA's newest member, Claflin for the first time in program history.  Claflin is coached by former Lincoln basketball great and LU Hall of Fame member Mary Rotimi.
 
Lincoln's all-time record vs. Shaw is 2-10 with the Lions last win coming in 2014.   The Lions are 0-8 all-time vs. St. Augustine's     

Janae Stackhouse (Baltimore, Md./Baltimore PolyTech) currently leads the Lions with 21 kills in Lincoln's first five matches.  Tierra Russaw (Westland , Mich./Summit Academy) follows with 19.  Alisa Foster (Philadelphia, Pa./Science Leadership Academy) has 57 assists, 41 digs and five service aces.  Tymera Crudup (Barnegat, N.J./Barnegat) has 39 digs.  Kaiya Lewis (Woodhaven, N.Y./Queens Preparatory Academy) leads the team with 12 blocks.  Lewis ranks fourth in the CIAA in blocks/set, averaging 0.8/set.
