Lincoln came back with a 13-1 reclaiming the lead and increasing it to its largest point, 38-33 midway through the half. VSU turned the ball over with just under 30 seconds left, which meant the lions could hold the ball for a potential game winning shot. Campbell drove into the lane but lost his footing and VSU came away with the basketball. Brown was fouled with 2.3 seconds left and made one of two from the line to seal the win.
Lincoln's next game will be the opening round game at the CIAA Tournament on Tuesday at the Bojangles Arena in Charlotte, North Carolina. The lions will face the #5 South seed Fayetteville State University at 6:40 p.m.
