Series: Chowan leads the all-time series 18-0, dating back to 2009. This is the first of two meetings between the two teams this season.
The Lions enter the two matches with a 1-2 record in CIAA North division contests, 1-8 in the CIAA and 1-10 overall. Lincoln's lone win came last week against Bowie State as they defeated the Bulldogs 3-1.
Last time out, the Lions got off to a slow start but battled with Virginia State University before dropping a 3-0 decision. The set scores were 25-8, 27-25 and 25-18.
Amanda Lee (Brooklyn, N.Y./Park Slope Collegiate) leads the team in kills/set (1.95) while
Janae Stackhouse (Baltimore, Md./Baltimore PolyTech) leads the Lions in total kills with 48 and service aces (14).
Alisa Foster (Philadelphia, Pa./Science Leadership Academy) is the team leader with 82 assists followed by
Tierra Russaw (Westland , Mich./Summit Academy) with 51.
On the defensive side,
Tymera Crudup (Barnegat, N.J./Barnegat) is the team leader in digs, averaging 3.14 per/set, followed by Russaw at 2.71 per set and Foster (2.65/set).
Kaiya Lewis (Woodhaven, N.Y./Queens Preparatory Academy) ranks third in the CIAA in blocks, averaging 0.83/set.
The ECSU Vikings enter Sunday's game with a 2-9 overall conference record and 2-2 division mark. The Vikings are 2-14 overall. Chowan is 5-11 overall and 5-4 in overall conference play. The Hawks are also 2-0 in North Division games.
ECSU is led offensively by Jahera Dangerfield. Dangerfield is averaging 1.92 kills per set. Kaylee Williams is averaging 1.43 kills/set. Asia Jones leads the team with 163 assists (3.2/set) while Williams leads the team with 23 service aces.
