The Lions loss a tough CIAA northern division matchup to Chowan University. The final score was 71-75. The Lions entered the game looking for a chance to move up in the standings and thus improve their position going into the CIAA Basketball Championships which gets under way February 23, 2016. The team was led in scoring by junior Vernon Young (Chicago, IL/University of St. Mary) who put up a double-double with 24 points and 11 rebounds. He was joined in the double scoring column by sophomores Quaman Burton (Richmond, VA/John Marshall HS) and Jordan Watson (Philadelphia, PA/Springside Chestnut Hill Academy).

The loss keeps the team in fifth place in the northern division standings with a record of 3-6. Their overall record is now 8-18. The team has one more game left in the regular season against Virginia State University Saturday February 20, 2016. The game starts at 4:00 pm.
