Tara Brookins (Turnersville, N.J./Washington Township) gave the Lions an early 1-0 lead in the first half, taking a feed from
Tamara Greene (Piscataway, N.J./Piscataway) at the 9:27 mark for her first goal of the season. Trinity evened the score less than a minute later before Greene broke the tie just 23 seconds after the Trinity goal with a shot into the lower right corner of the net for her team-leading fifth goal of the season at the 10:39 mark.

Averri Glenn (Piscataway, N.J./Piscataway ) widened the lead for the Lions with her fifth goal of the season at the 23:51 mark and
Kayla Butts (Lansdowne, Pa./Bonner-Prendergast Catholic)Â scored on a give-and-go 36 seconds later to give Lincoln a three-goal lead 4-1.

The Lions scored their fifth goal early in the second half as Alana Van Ness fed
Cleo Spear (Sydney, Australia/Oxford Falls Grammar School) who rang up her second goal of the season with a shot into the top right corner at the 59:56 mark to make the score 5-1.  For Ness it was her second assist of the game.

Trinity rallied for two goals in the final eight minutes to close the gap to 5-3 but could come no closer as the Lion defense held the Tigers without a shot over the final 6:13 to secure the win.

The Lions are back in action on Sunday, October 23, 2016 when they travel to face Georgian Court University in Lakewood, New Jersey.
