MURFREESBORO, N.C. – Senior Sydney Cook (Portland, OR/Cleveland HS) posted a game-high 17 digs in a 3-0 CIAA Northern Divisional road loss to Chowan University on Monday, September 28^th. The Lady Lions were downed in straight-sets (25-15, 25-8, 25-18).
 
Chowan finished with 51 total kills against Lincoln's nine team kills. Sophomore Mariah Russell (St. Louis, MO/Maplewood Richmond Heights HS) had a team-high three kills with two coming in the first set. The Lady Lions struggled offensively connecting on 9-of-68 total attacks while committing 11 errors.
 
Sydney Cook (Portland, OR/Cleveland HS) carried the defensive with 17 digs. Soyini Hugget (Bear, DE/Delaware Tech CC), Kyra Orton (Detroit, MI/Renaissance HS), and Shanna King (Newark, NJ/University High School) each added six digs as both teams finished with 42 totaled.
 
The Lady Lions fall to 2-6 overall and 2-4 in CIAA play. Lincoln returns home for a non-conference matchup against Cheyney University on Wednesday, September 30^th at 7 p.m.
