LIONS ON THE ROAD: Lincoln defeated Cheyney on the road last week 29-22 moving to 1-0 on the road thus far. In 2014, the Lions went 0-5 on the road and were outscored 256-81 by their opponents.

SCOTT NAMED ECAC OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: The Eastern Collegiate Athletic Association (ECAC) named
Stephen Scott (Baltimore, MD/Bethel College) the Division II Offensive Player of the Week on Wednesday, September 9
th. Earlier in the week, the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) honored Scott naming him the CIAA Offensive Back of the Week. In a 29-22 season opening win against Cheyney, Scott eclipsed the Lions' single-game rushing record with 179 total yards and three touchdowns. He finished with 30 carries and scored his first touchdown on a 77-yard rush. He averaged 5.8 yard per carry and had one reception for two yards.

SCOTT NAMED CIAA OFFENSEIVE BACK OF THE WEEK: The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) released its Football Players of the Week, on Tuesday, September 8
th and
Stephen Scott (Baltimore, MD/Bethel College) was named CIAA Offensive Back of the Week for his performance last week against Cheyney. Scott set several single-game rushing records for the Lions. He had the most carries (30), most net yards rushing (179), most rushing touchdowns (3), and the longest rush from scrimmage (77) in a single game. He averaged 5.8 yards per carry and had one reception for two yards. His touchdowns were from 77 yards out, 1 yard out, and 8 yards out.

SCOTT LEADS CIAA IN RUSHING AFTER WEEK ONE: Stephen Scott (Baltimore, MD/Bethel College) ranks first amongst the CIAA in rushes (31), yardage (179), yards per game (179.0), and rushing touchdowns (3).

LU LEADS CIAA IN PUNTING AVERAGE: The Lions had two punts for a total of 89 yards against Cheyney averaging a CIAA-high 44.5 yards. Livingstone is second in the conference averaging 43.5 yards per punt. Amongst the NCAA, Lincoln is ranked fifth in net punting.

ARKELIAN RECORDS LONGEST CAREER FIELD GOAL: Sophomore place kicker
Brett Arkelian (Clovis, CA) gave the Lions an early 3-0 lead in the first quarter against Cheyney converting on a career-long 32-yard made field goal. Arkleian is now 2-6 in his career as a Lion.

DEFENSE FORCES THREE TURNOVERS IN WIN OVER CHEYNEY: Lincoln recorded two interceptions and recovered a fumble in their season opener against Cheyney. Senior safety
Brion Robinson (Silver Spring, MD/Springbrook HS) intercepted the Wolves offense in the second quarter. Freshman defensive end
Mikael Mays (Garden City, GA/Groves HS) forced a fumble that was recovered by sophomore
Dequann Pittman (Washington, DC/Overlea HS), while sophomore safety
Mark Price (Philadelphia, PA/Charles Carroll HS) put an end to Cheyney's final drive with an interception in the endzone.
