LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. – Junior Christian Harris (Rochester, NY/The Aquinas Institute) scored two goals in a 4-2 loss to Chestnut Hill College on Wednesday, September 9th in LU Stadium. The Lady Lions defense faced 34 total shots and recorded 17 saves.

Christian Harris (Rochester, NY/The Aquinas Institute) scored her first goal of the evening in the 11th minute putting the Lady Lions ahead. Junior Alanna Van Ness (Piscataway, NJ/Piscataway HS) passed Harris the ball as she went one-on-one with the Griffins goalkeeper.
Shortly after in the 11th minute, Chestnut Hill tied the match after rebounding a missed shot. Lincoln fell behind 2-1 in the 47th minute as Chestnut Hill came out of halftime firing. Kaylee Dennis (Ashburn, VA/Broad Run HS) and the LU defenders fought off 24 total attempts in the second half alone. Lincoln's offense came back to life in the 64th minute with Christian Harris (Rochester, NY/The Aquinas Institute) tying the game with her second goal and third goal of the season in only two games played. Kaylee Dennis (Ashburn, VA/Broad Run HS) finished with 17 total saves. The last time a Lincoln goalie had at least 17 saves in a single game was back in 2010, Isata Panda versus Mary Baldwin College. The Lady Lions also tallied three assists setting up Harris for goals. Van Ness assisted on both goals while senior Audrey Smylie (Baltimore, MD/Western HS) also helped out with the last goal.
