TAKOMA PARK, Md. – Lincoln downed Washington Adventist 3-2 on Monday, October 5
th at Shock Park winning their second game in a row. The Lady Lions outshot the Shock 24-18 led by junior
Tamara Greene (Piscataway, NJ/Piscataway HS).
Lincoln avenged an earlier season loss (4-2) at home to Washington Adventist. In this game, the Lady Lions offense fired 12 shots in each period while finishing with 13 total shots on goal.
Tamara Greene (Piscataway, NJ/Piscataway HS) anchored LU's attack with five total shots on goal. She attempted eight shots and extended the Lady Lions lead to 3-1 in the 75
th minute of action.
Washington Adventist scored the first goal of the game in the 42
nd minute. LU's junior
Alanna Van Ness (Piscataway, NJ/Piscataway HS) hit the equalizer goal shortly after in the 44
th minute with a shot from 12 yards out. Senior
Emily Woodruff (San Diego, CA/Madison HS) gave the Lady Lions a 2-1 advantage in the 47
th minute connecting on a penalty kick.

Kaylee Dennis (Ashburn, VA/Broad Run HS) had six saves in her second win of the season. The Shock attempted six shots in the first period and 12 in the second. WAU scored their second goal of the game in the 84
th minute, but the Lady Lions defense held on for the victory, 3-2.
The Lady Lions improve to 2-7 after picking up their first road victory of the season. Lincoln travels to Old Westbury, NY for their next match against New York Institute of Technology on Sunday, October 11
th at 11 a.m.
