Emily Woodruff (San Diego, CA/Madison HS) scored her third goal of the season on Wednesday, October 21
st in an 8-1 loss to Shippensburg University in LU Stadium.
The Lady Lions found the back of the goal on a corner kick by junior
Tamara Greene (Piscataway, NJ/Piscataway HS) in the 67
th minute that setup
Emily Woodruff (San Diego, CA/Madison HS) for a header. Woodruff connected on the assist by Greene and cut into the Raiders 6-1 advantage in the second half.
Shippensburg jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the first eight minutes of action. There next four goals came within a 13-minute span in the first period by the 33
rd minute. Shippensburg fired 15 shots to Lincoln's two attempts in the first 45 minutes. Greene had a shot on goal in the 32
nd minute while freshman
Cleo Spear (Sydney, Australia/Oxford Falls Grammar School)'s shot went high in the 37
th minute.
Lincoln falls to 2-11 overall and Shippensburg moves to 8-6-1 overall. The Lady Lions will host Mississippi Valley State in their next game at LU Stadium on Sunday, October 25
th at 10 a.m.
