LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. – Freshman
Quaman Burton (Richmond, VA/John Marshall HS) and sophomore
Joshua Davis (Saginaw, MI/Louisburg Junior College) both finished with 18 points carrying the Lions to their sixth consecutive victory defeating Livingstone 69-64 on Monday, January 5
th in Manuel Rivero Hall.
Both teams battled in a defensive war as the Lions shot 16% (6-for-36) from the field compared to 36% (8-for-23) by the Blue Bears. Livingstone had their largest lead of the first half (20-12) at the 7:38 mark.
Joshua Davis (Saginaw, MI/Louisburg Junior College) ignited the Lions in the final minutes as Lincoln managed to tie the game at 25-25 by halftime. Davis had ten first half points by knocking down 6-of-8 free-throws with a pair of blocked shots. Senior
DuMone Leatherwood (Washington, DC/Cameron University) grabbed six rebounds and
Quaman Burton (Richmond, VA/John Marshall HS) added four boards as the Lions held a slight 28-26 rebounding advantage.
In the second half Lincoln converted on 17-of-20 attempts from the free-throw line in another come from behind CIAA conference victory.

Kyle Aiken (Randolph, NJ/Randolph HS) and
Joshua Davis (Saginaw, MI/Louisburg Junior College) each made four from the charity stripe. The Lions and Blue Bears continued to battle with 11 ties in the second half alone. With 4:43 left in regulation, Burton gave the Lions a 57-55 lead with a jumper from long range. In the final five minutes the Lions made all ten of their free-throws and held on for a 69-64 win.
The Lincoln bench outscored Livingstone bench 43-6 led by Davis and Burton.
Joshua Davis (Saginaw, MI/Louisburg Junior College) finished with a career-high 18 points and three blocked shots. Davis made 10-of-13 free-throws and was 4-for-6 from the field.
Quaman Burton (Richmond, VA/John Marshall HS) tied his career-best scoring effort with 18 points while adding four rebounds and two steals. Burton finished a perfect 10-for-10 from the free-throw line and became the third Lion in history to shoot 100% from the free-throw line with ten or more attempts in a single game.
Kyle Aiken (Randolph, NJ/Randolph HS) added 13 points, five rebounds, and four assists.
The Lions move to 9-4, 3-0 CIAA record while Livingstone falls to 7-5, 1-2 CIAA record. The Lions hit the road for four consecutive CIAA conference games beginning with Fayetteville State University on Thursday, January 8
th at 7:30 in the Felton J. Capel Arena.
