LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. – Senior
Kyle Aiken (Randolph, NJ/Randolph HS) scored 11 of his game-high 18 points in the second half in a 61-53 CIAA Northern Divisional win against Elizabeth City State University on Wednesday, January 21
st in Manuel Rivero Hall. Aiken made all eight of his free-throws and was 2-of-4 from behind the arc.
After four consecutive road games, Lincoln returned home against Elizabeth City State but got off to a slow start at home. The Lions were 18-of-59 (30-percent) shooting from the field and were 4-of-17 (23-percent) from three-point range. Despite their lack of offense,
Kyle Aiken (Randolph, NJ/Randolph HS) made crucial free-throws in a second half come-from-behind victory for the Lions. Aiken made all six of his attempts from the charity stripe and had four assists. He made Lincoln's only three-pointer of the half with 4:48 left to play extending the Lions advantage to 51-46.
Sophomore
Joshua Davis (Saginaw, MI/Louisburg Junior College) added eight second half points along with junior
Chaz Sharp (Baltimore, MD/Xavier University of Louisiana). Elizabeth City State were up 27-20 at halftime but Davis and the Lions opened the second half on a 10-0 run to reclaim the lead 30-27 by the 16:57 mark. The Lions improved their shooting from 19-percent in the first half to 42-percent in the second half. Their defense held off a late ECSU run carried by their bench production.
Chaz Sharp (Baltimore, MD/Xavier University of Louisiana) made 6-of-7 attempts from the free-throw line as the Lions converted on 16-of-25 attempts. Seniors
Tony Efese (Spring Valley, NY/St. Joseph Regional HS) and
Alonzo Murphy (Pittsburgh, PA/California University (PA)) both had five points with five rebounds in a 61-53 home victory.
Kyle Aiken (Randolph, NJ/Randolph HS) finished with 18 points while
Chaz Sharp (Baltimore, MD/Xavier University of Louisiana) led the LU bench with 11 points.

Rysheen Dorn (Philadelphia, PA/A.S.A. College) had six points. The Vikings had a pair finish with 12 points in Miykael Faulcon and DeCarlos Anderson while Brachon Griffin had a game-high 10 rebounds.
Lincoln improves to 12-6 overall, 6-2 in the CIAA conference with a 1-1 Northern Divisional record. The Lions will hit the road against Virginia Union University on Saturday, January 24
th at 4 p.m. in Richmond, VA.
