LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. – Lincoln's
Tamara Greene (Piscataway, NJ/Piscataway HS) netted her second goal of the season in a 6-1 loss to Goldey-Beacom College on Tuesday, September 23
rd in LU Stadium. The Lions had seven shot attempts and goalkeeper
Emily Woodruff (San Diego, CA/Madison HS) had seven saves to lead defensively.
Lincoln struggled against the aggressive Goldey-Beacom defense. The Lightning attempted 23 total shots along with six corner kicks to control the momentum of the game. Goldey-Beacom took a 3-0 lead in the first 20-minutes and extended their lead to 4-1 by halftime.

Tamara Greene (Piscataway, NJ/Piscataway HS) battled past the Lightning defense and scored a goal from inside of the box. Lincoln only had two shots on goal while Goldey-Beacom fired 17. Goalie
Christian Harris (Rochester, NY/The Aquinas Institute) played the first half for the Lions and
Emily Woodruff (San Diego, CA/Madison HS) finished the game. Harris recorded five saves and then fired two second half shot attempts. Goldey-Beacom added two goals in the second half and downed Lincoln 6-1.
The Lions fall to 2-3-1 while Goldey-Beacom improves to 2-3. Lincoln will host Concordia College (NY) at 1p.m. on Saturday, September 27
th.
