LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. – Freshman
Ashanti Price (Upper Marlboro, MD/Bishop McNamara HS) had a team-high nine kills leading the Lions volleyball team to a 3-2 (25-15, 19-25, 27-29, 25-23, 15-9) victory over Wesley College on Tuesday, September 16
th.
Lincoln won the first set 25-15 before dropping the next two sets to Wesley 25-19 and 29-27. The Lions regrouped and took the fourth set 25-23 in a close battle and clinched their first win of the season with a 15-9 victory in the fifth and final set.

Jillian Lee (Baltimore, MD/Baltimore Poly Institute) had five kills. Sophomore
Shanna King (Newark, NJ/University High School) garnered 24 assists while junior
Sydney Cook (Portland, OR/Cleveland HS) led defensively with 25 digs. Price also had 15 digs and sophomore
Kyra Orton (Detroit, MI/Renaissance HS) had 11 digs and scored three service aces for the Lions.
The Lions improve to 1-4 while Wesley falls to 7-3 overall. Lincoln will host Virginia Union University on Thursday, September 18
