th. The Lions had a difficult time with the Bishops in their second non-conference matchup of the season.
On the Lions opening drive, quarterback
Doug Cook (Dania Beach, FL/University School of Nova SE University) hooked up with wide receiver
Akeem Jordan (Washington, DC/Carroll HS) for a 33-yard reception. The Lions offense continued to roll early with a 33 yard rush by running back
Stephen Scott (Baltimore, MD/Bethel College) down to the North Carolina Wesleyan 28-yard line. After a few defensive stops by the Bishops, the Lions attempted a 33-yard field goal, but it was no good putting an end to their first drive. After two meaningless drives, North Carolina Wesleyan was able to score on the Lions defense with a 13-yard rushing touchdown on their third possession. The Bishops used six plays and covered 54 yards and led the Lions 7-0 with 3:05 left in the first quarter.
Midway through the second quarter, Lincoln's defense protected their endzone by forcing a North Carolina Wesleyan turnover at the 6:36 mark. Defensive back
Brion Robinson (Silver Spring, MD/Springbrook HS) recorded his first interception of the season and also put an end to a potential Bishops score. The Bishops responded on their next drive with a 57-yard rushing touchdown and pushed their lead to 13-0. The extra point attempt was no good after a Lincoln blocked kick by linebacker
Keith Harris (Philadelphia, PA/Rancocas Valley Regional HS) with 3:59 left in the first half.
The Lions struggled throughout the first half against the Bishops allowing 251 total yards while only accumulating 99 total team yards.

Akeem Jordan (Washington, DC/Carroll HS) had 33 receiving yards.
The Bishops extended their lead with an 11 play, 58 yard touchdown drive at the beginning of the third quarter. North Carolina Wesleyan increased their lead to 20-0 with a 4-yard rushing touchdown at the 8:51 mark and then sealed their first victory of the season with a 16-yard rushing touchdown in the fourth quarter. The Lions were shutout for the first time at home and dropped to 1-1 on the season with a 27-0 loss to the Bishops.

Stephen Scott (Baltimore, MD/Bethel College) finished with 21 carries for 93 rushing yards averaging 4.4 yards per carry. Quarterback
Doug Cook (Dania Beach, FL/University School of Nova SE University) completed 6-of-18 pass attempts for 77 yards and
Brandon Rowe (Harlem, NY/Hudson Valley CC) had four receptions for 41 yards.
Defensively,
Tyahir Mitchell (Wilmington, DE/Howard HS) tied for a game-high 9 tackles and led the Lions with four pass breakups. Linebacker
Wadel Louis (Miami, FL/North Miami Beach HS) had eight tackles and both
Gavin Lampkin (Baltimore, Md./W.E.B. Dubois HS) and
Lorenzo Adams (Philadelphia, PA/George Washington HS) had seven tackles each. Adams also led the Lions in all-purpose yardage with three kick returns for 102 total yards and had a long return of 66-yards in the first quarter. The Lions also blocked a field goal and an extra-point attempt by the Bishops.
Keith Harris (Philadelphia, PA/Rancocas Valley Regional HS) had two tackles and a blocked field goal while
James Thomas (Los Angeles, CA/Oaks Christian Academy) blocked a point after attempt.
