Emily Woodruff (San Diego, CA/Madison HS) knocked in an RBI triple against Elizabeth City State University on Wednesday, April 9
th. The Lady Lions loss both games to the Lady Vikings 16-2 & 12-0.
Lincoln trailed 13-0 after the second inning before finding their grove offensively in the third inning.
The Lady Lions earned two runs off of two hits and a fielding error by the Lady Vikings. Infielder
Jasmine Dabney (Baltimore, Md./New Town HS) led the inning off with a double and then a defensive error by the ECSU catcher allowed Dabney to score.
Outfielder
Deidre Johnson (Seattle, WA/Renton HS) stole second base after reaching on the fielding error by Elizabeth City State. With two outs, catcher
Emily Woodruff (San Diego, CA/Madison HS) blasted an RBI triple that scored Johnson cutting into the ECSU advantage, 13-2.
Outfielder
Chauntel Seymour (Teaneck, NJ/Teaneck HS) was the only other Lady Lion to record a hit along with Dabney's double and Woodruff's triple. Pitcher
Kyla Sead (West Haven, CT/Hill Regional Career Magnet HS) struck out one batter and allowed six hits in four innings pitched. Elizabeth City State won the first game of the double header 16-2.
In the second game of the double header, Lincoln was shutout 12-0. Infielder
Avree Morton (Uniondale, N.Y./Holy Trinity HS) singled up the middle in the top of the second inning to lead the Lady Lions.
The Lady Lions fall to 0-15, 0-13 CIAA record and will host Goldey-Beacom College on Friday, April 11
th for a double header beginning at 2 p.m.
