Lady Lions Recognize Three Seniors after Double Header versus Shaw

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, PA – Seniors Jasmine Dabney (Baltimore, Md./New Town HS), Deidre Johnson (Seattle, WA/Renton HS), and Avree Morton (Uniondale, N.Y./Holy Trinity HS) played in their final home game as a Lady Lion in a double header against Shaw University on Sunday, April 14th. The Lady Lions loss both games 15-1 & 16-1.

Avree Morton (Uniondale, N.Y./Holy Trinity HS) and Toni Smith (New Castle, DE/William Penn HS) both had doubles for the Lady Lions in their first game of the double header. Morton hit an RBI double in the third inning that scored Chauntel Seymour (Teaneck, NJ/Teaneck HS). Pitcher Kyla Sead (West Haven, CT/Hill Regional Career Magnet HS) struck out two batters in a 15-1 loss to Shaw.

In game two, Jasmine Dabney (Baltimore, Md./New Town HS) and Emily Woodruff (San Diego, CA/Madison HS) had the only hits for the Lady Lions in their 16-1 defeat. Toni Smith (New Castle, DE/William Penn HS) scored Lincoln's run in the bottom of the second inning after Shaw was forced into a throwing error after Jasmine Dabney (Baltimore, Md./New Town HS) stole a base. Shaw had nine hits and completed their series sweep of the Lady Lions.

Three seniors played in their final home game for the Lady Lions softball team; infielders Jasmine Dabney (Baltimore, Md./New Town HS) and Avree Morton (Uniondale, N.Y./Holy Trinity HS) along with outfielder Deidre Johnson (Seattle, WA/Renton HS).
