CHARLOTTE, NC – The Lions are the second seed in the CIAA Northern Division and will battle the Broncos of Fayetteville State the third seed in the Southern Division in the Quarterfinals Round at 7 pm.

This is the 9^th meeting between these teams and the series is tied at 4-4. Lincoln defeated Fayetteville State 74-69 in Manuel Rivero Hall on Jan. 9^th. Three Lions hit double-digit scoring led by Justin Jackson's 20 points, four rebounds, and three assists. Derrick Washington added 17 points, three steals, and two assists while converting on 8-of-10 attempts from the free-throw line.  George Jackson dished out eight assists and recorded four steals with nine points. Tony Efese had 10 points, four rebounds, and two timely blocks with a steal in the final minute sealing the Lions victory.

The winner between the Lions and Broncos will play Livingstone at 9 p.m. on Friday, February 28^th in the Semi-finals.

Two Lions received All-CIAA Men's Basketball Honors; senior guard Derrick Washington (Washington, DC/Coolidge SHS) to the All-CIAA Men's Basketball Team and freshman forward Timothy McKenzie (Central Islip, NY/Central Islip HS) to the All-CIAA Rookie Team.
