Box Score LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. – The Lions volleyball team wrapped up their 2014 season honoring senior Tarayja Brooks (Kennett Square, PA/Kennett HS) against Bowie State. Lincoln loss the match to the Bulldogs 3-1, (17-25, 26-24, 27-25, 25-18) in their season finale on Friday, November 7.

Lincoln's lone senior on the 2014 season, Tarayja Brooks (Kennett Square, PA/Kennett HS) finished with 12 digs. Brooks was one of five Lions to finish with double figure digs. Sophomore Kyra Orton (Detroit, MI/Renaissance HS) posted a team-high 24 digs followed by junior Sydney Cook (Portland, OR/Cleveland HS)'s 15 digs, freshman Ashanti Price (Upper Marlboro, MD/Bishop McNamara HS)'s 13, and freshman Soyini Hugget (Bear, DE/Del Castle HS)'s 12.

Two Lions combined for 32 assists against Bowie State. Sydney Cook (Portland, OR/Cleveland HS) did a great job setting up her teammates with 20 assists and sophomore Shanna King (Newark, NJ/University High School) had 12 assists.

Junior Jillian Lee (Baltimore, MD/Baltimore Poly Institute) had a team-high 12 kills registering a .108 attack percentage. Lee assisted on four blocks and had two service aces. Ashanti Price (Upper Marlboro, MD/Bishop McNamara HS) had eight kills with two assisted blocks along with junior Toni Smith (New Castle, DE/William Penn HS)'s six kills.

The Lions conclude their season with a 3-18 overall record and 1-15 CIAA conference record.
