LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. – Sophomore
Averri Glenn (Piscataway, NJ/Piscataway HS) nailed her first goal of the season, but the four goals in the second half doomed Lions in a 5-1 loss to Felician College on Thursday, October 23
rd.
Lincoln trailed after Felician scored their first goal of the match on a free kick in the 22
nd minute. The Lions responded with the equalizer in the 32
nd minute of action with a goal by
Averri Glenn (Piscataway, NJ/Piscataway HS), her first score of the season. Glenn found an open net after a mishandle by the Felician goalie.
The Golden Falcons fired nine total shots in the first half leading to seven saves by Lincoln's sophomore goalkeeper
Christian Harris (Rochester, NY/The Aquinas Institute). Harris tied her career-high of 13 saves against Felician facing 23 total shots. Despite Harris' great defense, the Golden Falcons had four goals in the second half that propelled them to a win over Lincoln at home.
Senior
Tara O'Brien (Twickenham London, UK/St. Mark's Catholic School) and sophomore
Alanna Van Ness (Piscataway, NJ/Piscataway HS) each attempted two shots while sophomore
Tamara Greene (Piscataway, NJ/Piscataway HS) had the Lions other shot attempt against the Golden Falcons. O'Brien finished with two shots on goal to lead the attack. Lincoln falls to 5-6-1 on the season and Felician moves to a 9-3-3 overall record.
The Lions will host Millersville University on Monday, October 27
th at 4 p.m. inside of LU Stadium in their next game.
