LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. – Seniors
Jada Benn (Abingdon, MD/Harford Technical HS),
Cierra Bean (Penacook, N.H./New Hampton HS),
Courtney Moss (Freeport, Bahamas/Sunland Baptist Academy), and
Tara O'Brien (Twickenham London, UK/St. Mark's Catholic School) played in their final home game as a Lion in a 7-0 loss to Millersville University on Monday, October 28
th.
An aggressive Millersville group scored four goals in the first half and then added on three more in the final half cruising to a 7-0 victory over the Lions. Sophomore goalkeeper for the Lions,
Christian Harris (Rochester, NY/The Aquinas Institute) finished with 11 saves and faced 23 total shots. Harris has recorded double-digit saves for the third consecutive match and for the fourth time this season.
Senior
Tara O'Brien (Twickenham London, UK/St. Mark's Catholic School) carried the offense with three shots on goal while four other Lions fired one shot on goal.
At halftime, Lincoln's Athletic Department recognized four seniors in their final home game at LU Stadium.
Cierra Bean (Penacook, N.H./New Hampton HS),
Jada Benn (Abingdon, MD/Harford Technical HS),
Courtney Moss (Freeport, Bahamas/Sunland Baptist Academy), and
Tara O'Brien (Twickenham London, UK/St. Mark's Catholic School) were four year members on the Lions soccer squad that represented The Lincoln University with the colors of orange and blue in competition.
The Lions will close their 2014 season on the road against Alderson Broaddus University on Thursday, October 30
th at 7 p.m.
