MURFREESBORO, N.C. – Three Lions recorded double-digit digs led by sophomore
Kyra Orton (Detroit, MI/Renaissance HS)'s game-high 18 in a 3-0 (13-25, 12-25, 25-27) loss to Chowan University on the road.
Lincoln held a 62-52 advantage in digs.

Ashanti Price (Upper Marlboro, MD/Bishop McNamara HS) added 16 digs and senior
Tarayja Brooks (Kennett Square, PA/Kennett HS) had 10. Price carried the Lions offensively with a team-high 13 kills. Junior
Jillian Lee (Baltimore, MD/Baltimore Poly Institute) and junior
Toni Smith (New Castle, DE/William Penn HS) each had four kills against the Hawks.
Sophomore
Keldesha Spencer (Nassau, Bahamas/Kingsway Academy) set her teammates up with seven assists and Lee pitched in with five assists. The Lions played their best in the third set facing a straight-sweep with ten team kills. Lincoln falls to 2-14 overall and 1-12 in CIAA play while Chowan moves to 16-5 overall and 11-2 in CIAA play.
The Lions will return to action at home on Wednesday, October 15
th at 6 p.m. facing Cheyney University in the Battle of the Firsts.
