th minute, nailing a one-on-one goal with Goldey-Beacom's goalkeeper off a
Cierra Bean (Penacook, N.H./New Hampton HS) assist. The Lightning responded with five unanswered goals in the first period attacking the Lions defense.
Goldey-Beacom tied the match in the 11
th minute, then took a 2-1 lead in the 25
th minute with two goals over Lincoln. Three minutes later, the Lightning's Michelle Foster scored her second goal of the game springing Goldey-Beacom to a 3-1 advantage. The Lightning went on to score back-to-back goals in 22 seconds by Tatiana Marshall (39:52) and Sheridan Vincent-Gobble (40:44), for a 5-1 lead at the intermission.
Trailing Goldey-Beacom 5-1, Lincoln were the aggressors in the second period but were unable to score enough goals to battle back. The Lions closed the match with a goal in the final minute.
Alanna Van Ness (Piscataway, NJ/Piscataway HS) netted her third goal of the season and the Lions second goal of the game.
Tara O'Brien (Twickenham London, UK/St. Mark's Catholic School) sent an outlet pass to the near side, then Van Ness drove in for the score. The match ended with Lincoln falling 5-2 to Goldey-Beacom.
