Box Score Lincoln University, PA – Seniors
Cynthia Johnson (Randallstown, MD/Baltimore Polytechnic Institute),
Briana McKellery (Odenton, MD/Arundel HS), and
Jasmine Dabney (Baltimore, MD/New Town HS) combined for 19 kills as the Lions defeated Bowie State University 3-1 (25-20, 17-25, 25-13) on Thursday, October 31 in Manuel Rivero Gymnasium.
Three seniors were recognized tonight against Bowie State as they played their final match in Manuel Rivero Hall as a Lion.
Senior
Cynthia Johnson (Randallstown, MD/Baltimore Polytechnic Institute) led the Lions with nine kills and nine digs, while senior
Briana McKellery (Odenton, MD/Arundel HS) added seven kills, and senior
Jasmine Dabney (Baltimore, MD/New Town HS) had three kills.
The Lions dominated the net against the Lady Bulldogs with six team blocks.
Briana McKellery (Odenton, MD/Arundel HS) had three solo blocks and
Jasmine Dabney (Baltimore, MD/New Town HS) recorded a solo block in their final home match as a Lion.
Freshmen
Shanna King (Newark, NJ/University High School) paced the Lions with a game-high 17 kills. Defensively,
Sydney Cook (Portland, OR/Cleveland HS) led Lincoln with 19 digs and
Kyra Orton (Detroit, MI/Renaissance HS) pitched in with 13 digs.
The Lions improve to 3-15 overall and 2-8 in the CIAA Northern Division. In their next match, the Lions will conclude their 2013 season on the road against Goldey-Beacom on Nov. 5 at 7 p.m.
