O'Brien's two goals lift Lady Lions past Lady Tigers

Tara O'Brien tied the single-season school record for goals in a 3-2 overtime thriller against Salem International
Box Score SALEM, W.Va. Tara O'Brien (Twickenham London, UK/St. Mark's Catholic School) scored a pair of goals, including the game-winner as the Lincoln University women's soccer team rallied in the final minute of regulation to force overtime as the Lady Lions edged Salem International, 3-2, on Friday afternoon.
 
Lincoln (4-3) struck first on a goal by Urszula Koczkodaj (Szczecin, Poland/), but the Lady Tigers answered with a pair of goals to take a 2-1 advantage. However, O'Brien, who leads NCAA Division II in goals, scored her 13th goal of the season on a penalty kick in the 88th minute and added the game-winner in overtime to lift the Lady Lions to the win.
 
The Lady Lions return to action 1 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 30 at Lincoln University Stadium against Shepherd University.
