Box Score LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. – The Lincoln University volleyball team opened CIAA Round-up play on Saturday morning with a 3-0 loss to Shaw University at Manuel Rivero Gymnasium.
 
The Lady Bears held off the Lady Lions in the opening set, 25-23, and took the final two games of the match, 25-9, 25-13.
 
Cynthia Johnson (Randallstown, MD/Baltimore Polytechnic Institute) and Briana McKellery (Odenton, MD/Arundel HS) paced Lincoln (0-4 overall, 0-3 CIAA), which had a .444 hitting percentage in the third set, with eight kills, while Sharay DuBose (Salisbury, Md./Parkside HS) added 13 assists. Sydney Cook (Portland, OR/Cleveland HS) recorded 11 digs and Johnson chipped in with nine digs in the loss.
 
The Lady Lions conclude play at the CIAA Volleyball Round-up on Sunday morning as Lincoln takes on Saint Augustine's University at 9 a.m., and Fayetteville State University at 11 a.m., at Manuel Rivero Gymnasium.
