Winning streak comes to an end for Lincoln

LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa.  —
The Lincoln University women's soccer team saw its two-game winning streak come to an end on Wednesday afternoon as the Lady Lions dropped a 6-0 decision to New York Institute of Technology at Lincoln University Stadium.
 
The Bears (2-3) scored in the 12th minute, then added four goals in a span of 11 minutes to take a 5-0 advantage into the half.

Despite giving up five first-half goals, the Lady Lions, who continue to grow and improve at the NCAA Division II level, had several chances in the second half, hitting the crossbar two times.
 
Sima Sinforosa finished with seven saves for Lincoln (2-2). Brianna Bollettieri had three for NYIT.
 
The Lady Lions, who look to get back into the win column, travel 7 p.m., Monday, Sept. 17 to Bloomfield, N.J., to take on Bloomfield College.
