KANSAS CITY, Kan.
– Lincoln University (PA) sophomore midfielder Tara O'Brien (Twickenham London, UK/St. Mark's Catholic School) added to her list of postseason accolades on Tuesday afternoon by being selected to the 2012 NSCAA/Continental Tire Women's NCAA Division II Atlantic All-Region Soccer Third Team.
 
O'Brien, who has earned Daktronics All-Atlantic Region First Team, Daktronics All-American Second Team, ICAA Women's Soccer Player of the Year, ICAA First Team and Capital One Academic All-District honors, had a phenomenal year for the Lady Lions. She set a single-season school record for goals with 16 and also added six assists for 38 points. O'Brien, who is a two-time ECAC and ICAA Player of the Week selection, currently ranks first in NCAA Division II statistically in points per game (2.71) and is second in goals per game (1.14).
 
The National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) awards programs recognizes the achievement of outstanding players and coaches at all levels of the game, presenting nearly 10,000 individual awards through its All-America, Scholar All-America, Team Academic Awards, Coach of the Year, Player of the Year and special organizational contribution awards such as the NSCAA Hall of Fame and the NSCAA Honor Award.
